Then continue onto Bethlehem, a half hour’s drive away, and stroll through Manger Square, one of Christianity’s most sacred sites, which is flanked both by the Church of the Nativity and the Mosque of Oman. Dating back to 339 AD, be sure not to miss the Church’s beautiful floor mosaics. Afterwards, perhaps explore the Milk Grotto (where the Virgin Mary was said to have nursed Baby Jesus) or visit the Catholic Church of St. Catherine or Bethlehem’s Greek Orthodox Church.
