Christian pilgrims will want to visit the Garden of Gethsemane, the Via Dolorosa, and the Church of the Holy Sepulcher as well as some of the many other Christian sites both in the Old City and outside its walls as well as a visit to Bethlehem. Those interested in biblical, historical, and archeological sites will not want to miss the excavations at David's City, at the Southern wall and the Herodian house in the Jewish Quarter to mention but a few.
Nor will they want to miss the Dead Sea Scrolls exhibited at the Shrine of the Book or the archeological displays at the Israel Museum and the Bible Lands Museum. Other more general places of interest include the grave of Theodor Herzl and the Military Cemetery on Mount Herzl and Ammunition Hill.
