A brief overview of the tour

From the Ashdod Port we travel to Jerusalem and take in the stunning view of the Old City from the Mt. Of Olives. We enter the Old City passing through the Armenian Quarter to the Jewish Quarter and the ancient Cardo and Western Wall. We follow the Via Dolorosa which Jesus walked towards his crucifixion. We visit the Church of the Holy Sepulchre and the Old City market then make our way towards Jesus birthplace in Bethlehem. Here we visit the Church of Nativity, Manger Square, Church of St. Catherine and the Milk Grotto before passing Shepherd's Field on our return journey to the Ashdod port.

A detailed description of the tour

We meet at Ashdod port and begin our journey to Jerusalem. We start with an overview of Jerusalem from Mount Olives, looking down at the Old City and the Temple Mount. See the Garden of Gethsemane and the monumental burial tombs while driving along the Kidron Valley. Walk past the Armenian Quarter and along the 1500 year old Byzantine Cardo to the Jewish Quarter and on the Western Wall (Kotel). Follow the Stations of the Cross (Via Dolorosa) to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Enjoy the bazaar in the Christian and Moslem Quarters. Leave Jerusalem for neighboring Bethlehem (City of Bread) hometown of King David and birthplace of Jesus. From Manger Square walk to the Church of Nativity and descend to the grotto, the place where Jesus was laid in the manger. Also visit the Catholic church of St. Catherine, the Greek church, the Milk Grotto where Mary fed Jesus and Shepherd's Fields. Return to Ashdod port.
