Tour description:

Depart Jerusalem eastwards towards the Dead Sea. Bypass ancient Jericho and continue northwards along the Jordan valley to the baptizing site at Yardenit. Continue along the shores of the Kinneret, the Sea of where Jesus preached and performed miracles.  The Benedictine Church at Tabgha commemorates the place where Jesus fed the multitudes by multiplying the loaves and the fish. Close by, at Mensa Christi, is where Jesus prepared breakfast for the disciples.

At Capernaum see where Jesus preached in the synagogue and performed miracles and also where Peter may have lived. Enjoy St. Peter’s fish for lunch and sail in a wooden boat very similar to those used by the fishermen two thousand years ago, including Jesus’ disciples.

After visiting the picturesque Church on Mount Beatitudes where Jesus taught the Sermon on the Mount – “Blessed are the meek…” (Mat 5)
