Midnight Mass is held in the Church of Nativity adjacent to Manger Square and we watch the service on large screens in the square. We may be able to attend Mass in the Nativity Church. On day two, Christmas Day we visit the Church of Nativity and see the Holy Grotto where Christ was born. Leaving Bethlehem we stop at Shepherds’ Fields then visit the village of Ein Kerem.

Tour Schedule

On the day of Christmas Eve the tour takes you to Jerusalem where the first stop is on the Mount of Olives. Here we enjoy breathtaking views across the Old City. We see the Garden of Gethsemane and enter Jerusalem’s Old City. Here we tour the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, site of Calvary, Jesus’ burial tomb and other sacred Christian sites. Driving through modern-day Jerusalem we pass landmarks like the Israeli Knesset and Israel Museum then head for Bethlehem. We arrive at Bethlehem’s Manger Square then indulge in a festive Christmas Eve dinner. At midnight we attend Mass in the Church of Nativity or we join Christians from across the globe in Manger Square to watch Christmas Eve Midnight Mass on outdoor screens.

On the second day of the Christmas in Bethlehem tour we spend Christmas Day discovering the city of Bethlehem. We enter the Church of Nativity and see the Grotto of the Nativity where Jesus was born. The tour leaves Bethlehem and stops at Shepherds’ Fields where shepherds tended their flocks on the first Christmas Eve.
We approach Jerusalem and take a route through Ein Kerem, a quaint village known for its artists, stone houses draped in vines and bougainvillea, historic churches and as the birthplace of John the Baptist. We visit Mary’s Well and two of Ein Kerem’s beautiful churches. The Christmas in Bethlehem Tour concludes and we head back to the pick-up points.
